The Magdala Center (“Magdala”) registered under Magdala Tourist Center Ltd. and operating the Magdala Archaeological Park and the Magdala Guesthouse, is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its online guests, customers, donors and friends. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals – such as their names and postal and/or email addresses – except when it is knowingly provided by such individuals. We believe that maintaining privacy both online and offline are equally important to Magdala and hope you will read this privacy policy carefully so that you will clearly understand both our commitment to you and your privacy and our method of collecting and using information. This privacy policy only applies to transactions made, and data gathered, and does not apply to any other website. By using Magdala´s websites, Wi-Fi systems, or communicating with Magdala by email or any other form of communication, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.

Information We Collect

Magdala will ask you to provide personally identifiable information necessary to process your reservation or information request that may include corporate name or individual name, nationality, tax ID number, billing addresses, telephone number, email address and/or corporate and personally identifiable information. When you make a reservation, your information will be temporarily stored on a secured server. We will retain the personally identifiable information you provided for our records. You may also be asked for additional information required to complete the transaction made.

Notre Dame is committed to protecting the privacy of our guests, visitors, and donors. Maintaining the trust that you have placed in us is our highest priority.

How We Use Information About You

Magdala may use personal information to fulfill a guest’s/visitor’s request, respond to a guest’s or visitor’s inquiry, administer a guest’s/visitor’s transaction or donor’s fund, send tailored marketing materials to the guest/visitor or donor, or improve the experience of guests and visitors. Personal information that is collected also helps Magdala to verify and identify each person who establishes a guest/visitor or donor relationship with Magdala or contributes to an activity, ministry, project or program, fund established or run by Magdala.

Within Magdala and among our affiliates and service providers, we prohibit access to an individual’s personal information by persons other than those who reasonably require it to communicate with that person on behalf of Magdala, to provide or enable

Magdala to provide services or information the person needs or has requested, to maintain accurate records, for research and analysis to better serve the person or the charitable community, or for compliance or required reporting purposes. We do not sell, trade, rent, or share personal information with third parties other than our affiliates and service providers except to comply with applicable laws or court orders.

Magdala strives to keep records complete and accurate. Most personal information is contained in account statements that the person may receive from us and on reservation forms or applications that the person submits to Magdala. We encourage each person to review this information and notify us if any information should be corrected or updated. It is also important that persons take affirmative steps on their own to protect against unintended disclosure of their personal information, including the safeguarding of usernames and passwords they may use while using Magdala´s websites, or Wi-Fi systems.

Security Measures

No data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transfer to Magdala is done at your own risk.

Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems. We use firewalls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All credit card numbers submitted to the site are encrypted. This Website is secured with a Web Server Certificate. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place other appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software.

If we learn of a security systems breach we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using the service or providing personally identifiable information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of the Service. We may post a notice on our Service if a security breach occurs. We may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us in these circumstances. Changes to Privacy Policy

Magdala reserves the right to change the organization’s Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new or revised Privacy Policy on its website. An individual’s continued use of Magdala´s website after a new or revised Privacy Policy is posted on the website constitutes acceptance of any such changes to the Privacy Policy.
